Sukkut and Brotherhood meetings

Please mark your calendars for the following upcoming activities for PTS Brotherhood members, and of course, for the entire PTS community. It's going to be a busy month!

• Sunday, Sept. 9: After-school swim party and BBQ at the Peninsula JCC, sponsored by Brotherhood. Learn more here.

• Sunday, Sept. 23: It's time to build the sukkah in PTS' central courtyard. We'll start at 10:00am, with coffee and bagels. Be sure to bring heavy gloves, to make it more comfortable to work with the palm fronds.

• Wednesday, Sept. 26: We'll prepare and serve a delicious Sukkot Dinner starting at 6:00pm, followed by Sukkot Services at 7:00pm.

Also, the next PTS Brotherhood planning meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Max's Opera Cafe in Burlingame. We'll sit down and start ordering food at 6:00pm, and the meeting itself begins at 6:30pm. I hope you can join us.

Swim sholom this Sunday!

This Sunday, Sept. 9, is the first day of PTS Religious School. After school, join the PTS Brotherhood for a very special back-to-school swim party and barbecue at the Peninsula JCC in Foster City.

The event will be from 12:30-4:00pm at the Peninsula JCC, 800 Foster City Blvd.,Foster City, CA 94404. (Directions are available.)

The PJCC is supplying the pool and lifeguards, and the PTS Brotherhood is cooking up a delicious barbecue lunch. The event is at no charge, but RSVPs are REQUIRED, to make sure that we have sufficient lifeguards and food for everyone.

Please bring your own towel and sunscreen – and be sure to arrive in swim suits ready to swim, since the PJCC locker rooms are for PJCC members only. Note that children must be accompanied by adults at the pool and throughout the PJCC.

Also, please let us know if you’d like to volunteer for setup (11:00-12:30), cooking and serving (12:30-2:00) or cleanup (2:00-4:00). Your help is appreciated! And we look forward to seeing you at the first day of school, and at the after-school celebration at the Peninsula JCC!
